Zacatecas is one of Mexico's most photogenic cities and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993. Beautifully preserved pink stone buildings adorned with delicate wrought iron balconies line a labyrinth of spotless narrow streets that twist and turn through the city. It's a long (seven hour) but easy drive from Mexico City, and service is available aboard deluxe buses. Mexicana offers direct flights between Zacatecas and several U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, the U.S. city with the largest Zacate­can community, Chicago and Denver, as well as destinations throughout Mexico.
